Most of us lack the time for fussy plants with lots of special requirements. Here's a piece about a reliable performer for the bungalow garden that has no special requirements whatsoever: the common foxglove. These stately plants with their striking tubular flowers, in pinks, purples and whites, can be a beguiling garden presence. A classic cottage-garden plant, foxgloves pair well with the informality built into our bungalows by design. They require little groundspace and offer an intriguing vertical presence - hence the title of my piece, The Inspired Garden. Give it a look at: http://bungalowgardens.blogspot.ca/. BTW, foxgloves are hardy from zone four up, which means most places without a frigid winter.
