Reprints of historical blueprints?

One of my holiday gifts was a comprehensive book on the various areas of A&C. It had some plates of the blue prints of some famous A&C homes and A&C architects. The Charles M. Pratt home by Green and Green, Irving Gill, etc. Having and engineering background, I was struck by the aesthesis and craftsmanship of the drawings.
That got me thinking if you can get reprints of the original blueprints. I probably sound nerdy but I was thinking of using them as some art pieces in my office. Some Google searches didn't turn up much. Does anyone know if they are available?

There are several of Frank Lloyd Wright house blueprints on Ebay right now. These are very cool blueprints for art work. They are not actual working blueprints, but they are made to be used as artwork. They have a few different elevations and the general floorplan on the sheet.

I found them by typing in "Wright Blueprint" in the Ebay search field. I am sure there are others if you eliminate the word "Wright".

I think that is a great idea! What I might suggest as an option is to scan or get the prints in electronic format and play with them in photoshop (size, background color,etc.). I can just see them...beautiful! and interesting!

I went to the building/planning dept in sacramento and submitted a 'research report request' on my property just this last week. I have yet to hear back from them. I understand that my 80yr house plans/paperwork are old and already micro-fische'd. So any reports/permits/drawings would be reprints and probably on 8.5x11" paper! Bummer, uh? Please give them city planning/building dept a call for more info. I will followup with another post when I hear back from them about the plans (if any exist). Good luck.

"The Art That is Life"

From the liner notes: "It was originally published in 1987 in conjunction with a 1987 exhibition by the museum of Fine Art in Boston...."

Seems it was reprinted in paper back several years ago.

Diane--
Try searching for "Architectural Ephemera". A lot of these things exist (I searched for vintage foundry plans for my dad one year...and found them!)
I think the idea sounds extremely cool. But I'm an ex-engineer. :/
