I'm seeking other homes built from Keith's Home Plan Model 1070. My home was built somewhere between 1911 and 1914 in Rensselaer, NY. The Arts & Crafts influences of the Stickley and Roycroft movements were at the height of popularity in Upstate New York during Rensselaer's golden age of rail and industry, and many bungalows were built by the thriving working class during this era.
The model home for No. 1070 was apparently built in Southern California in 1904 or earlier. The design was featured in The Ladies Home Journal, the book "Bungalows, Camps and Mountain Homes", and even the Pee Gee Paint catalog. You can see links to all these pages at the site for the George E. Hatcher House (http://hatcherhouse12144.blogspot.com/).
Walter J. Keith published Keith's Magazine on Homebuilding, and his architectural firm offered a wide selection of bungalow plans by mail order. These were not kit homes, as Keith believed his customers got a better value from getting their labor and materials locally. You can view or download one of Keith's catalogs at the Internet Archive: Walter J. Keith's Portfolio of Practical Homes (1925) http://www.archive.org/details/WalterJ.KeithsPortfolioOfPracticalHomes
