I keep getting kicked off the reader survey for some reason, so I'm posting my most important suggestion here:

Would AB consider a Budget Bungalow feature? It could propose cheaper alternatives for bungalow owners like myself who can't afford things like expensive renovations and handcrafted or antique furniture.

I find the photos in AB just beautiful, and the articles inspiring, but everything seems so far out of reach for me!

If you take a look at features like Show Us What YOu've Done And Family Album, I think you might be surprised at the creative solutions that some readers have found to solve their problems and desire to renovate their homes with limited budgets. Look for the new issue (release date mid- August) and check out the Shess house. This house was renovated with cost cutting ideas, affordable for the average bungalow owner. Often the key is doing things yourself, finding salvage items and using this formum for ideas!

Marva Marrow
Contributing Editor

I think I know where your going with that. I find myself saying "yeah that's great that you can afford to buy repro/salvage there but what about me with the poor step-sister house?". I don't even have a salvage yard in my neighborhood/area. Someday when we travel outta this one-horse town I'm going to be hitting those stores in the bigger cities!
