Too cool!! I know you'll enjoy it. It's a great house. We just had to sell our wonderful bungalow in Spokane and move to Chicago, where we bought a 4 square. Wish we could have brought the bungalow with us.

Great house! How about some inside shots? Your front porch is very similar to many in our neighborhood, so I would say that it is original. Similar houses around here have that profile to allow for air intakes for whole house fans. Maybe that was once true for your house.

Hello Andy- Lovely porch, nice home and view across the street:-)! I like your idea of painting the color a bit darker. Louise is right, your front door is gorgeous. Also- I was wondering about the front "gable" of your home (over the front porch). I am a novice, but to my eye it looks like this was lowered a bit?(roof over porch) Unless you are wanting to mess with this (I could be wrong here)- and for various reasons you might not want to, I might add a trim piece across the bottom of this gable (just above your double wood columns)-all the way around to the sides- and paint it the same as your trim. Examples I've seen like your home: Robert Schweitzer's new book, "Bungalow Colors" page 174-no trim piece but varied shingles- and also some similar examples (with the trim piece) in Duchscherer & Keister's, "The Bungalow."
Good luck with your restoration and the "time-off" on your front porch!

Great house. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THE FRONT DOOR.
We just finished building our version of a bungalow and I could not find an insulated door that I liked. I know there are plenty of companies that make wood doors, but I am energy concious.........anyway, Your house will be georgous when finished. This house has great structure. Best of luck.
