The house was listed as a Queen Ann, still scratching my head on that one. Most of the original interior is gone, accept for the four original mantles and the heart pine floor. The house is located in North Carolina and was built in 1910.

Here's an outside shot :

One of the mantles, which does have a more victorian flair to it. The other mantles are similar. The colors are from the previous owners.

One thing I've noticed is that realtors really don't know as much about houses as they really should. I told a realtor that the ceilings in a house we were looking at were cove. She had no idea (by the way she is also the owner so you'd think she'd have more knowledge).

I'd say it is a bungalow probably in one of those transitional periods we hear about on here.

I don't know if it's a bungalow or not. But I know in my area there are tons of similar houses in the neighborhoods that border bungalow neighborhoods, but are just a tad older (1900-1920 vs. 1920-1935). Most of the bungalows around here are mid-20s vintage, as the South apparently was late to jump on the bungalow bandwagon.

In fact, my former neighborhood was like a little time traveling experience. In the course of about 12 streets, it went from houses like yours, to bungalows, to mock tudors and spanish, to post-war ranch, to '50s-60s ranch, to '70s.
