Post Chicago-Style Bungalow or what?
Chicago-Style Bungalows are described as 1 1/2 story residence with other specific features. My 1927 home have all the traditional features, but is a full two-story resdience. I have been searching for years to find a similar home, because at city-run home improvement shows, the official state it is not a Chicago Bungalow. When asked what it is, if not a bungalow, the responses vary. Your opinion requested.

Thanks

Post Re: Chicago-Style Bungalow or what?
Hi there -

It's a lovely house. If you focus squarely on the bottom half of the house, you can see the defining features of a Chicago-style bungalow. Where do you live? I only ask because we actually have a few houses that look nearly identical to this style of house in Villa Park, IL. The only difference is that the ones here are frame-style houses, while yours is all brick.

So while I agree that it does not fit the archetype of a traditional "Chicago Bungalow", it is a fantastic bungalow nonetheless. By the way - killer tile roof!! :D
