Post 1926 Home with clipped gables
My wife and I purchased this home a few months ago, which was built in 1926. Any insights as to style of our home? I've done some digging but haven't come up with much. Any help is appreciated.

Posting these photos reminds me of how badly I'm missing warmer weather. I'm itching to get some exterior work done once the snow clears. The sat dish will be the first order of business :D and I'd like to do something about the siding and soffits...

Edit: fixed the photo links

Post Re: 1926 Home with clipped gables
Gankaku, Up here in the Pacific Northwest in Oregon this bungalow style is defined by its roof form. We typically call this clipped gable form a Dutch gable. Architectural term is jerkinhead. I've no idea on the origin of the term but it may well be based on a Dutch word. I love the solid, strong, compact look your home has. Often houses here that have this solid form have stucco exteriors. Only thing I find unusual is that the front door has no covering roof - assuming the front door is in the top photo and the back door is off the driveway with what appears to be a roof covering that's an addition. Is it possible the front door once entered into that cubic extension with the small window and its own Dutch gable? That almost looks like an enclosed porch. Roof and gable proportions are very nice. Also lovely grand tree.
