Post bathroom ceramic tile refurbishing
Would like to give my 1918 Ashmore bath a facelift without gutting .....
Tub is in need of work, and tiles surrounding it as well.
Have considered acryilic liner for this area.
Anyone have experience with this solution?
Anyone refurbished your ceramic tile/grout? How?
Thanks

ashmore, I have refurbished my grout. There's a little hand tool that's specifically for removing grout from between tiles. It's got a narrow, roughened blade that you use back and forth like a saw or a hand sander. Once the grout's out, vacuum it all up to make sure there's no dust. Simply mix up some new grout (either buy pre-colored or get white and grout color powder and mix yourself) and apply with soft grout trowels being sure to hold the trowel at at angle and force the grout into the joints. Wipe the grout off the face of the tile. When the grout is dry get yourself a bottle of grout sealer with a small sponge tip and run it over every grout line. Let it dry and do it again. Voila! Finito. Hope that helps
