Post Subway tile brands?
After living here 9 years we are finally starting to do some work on the bathroom. Mainly because the plumbing needs to be replaced because water started dripping through the main floor ceiling.

I'm not sure if you can see from this picture but the subway tiles are the common size white kind. However, the ones that they have at Home Depot are sort of curved on the edges. Is there a brand that is flat and can be easily ordered? (I am in Toronto.)

I'm sure this has been discussed before on this board but I can't find a post about it.

It's the bathtub plumbing that is leaking so that wall will have to mostly replaced. It's an interior wall between the tub and toilet (on the left in the picture). The date of the house is 1932 and most of the bathroom is original however, the toilet has been replaced. The tank is an original (Pussyfoot I believe) and was not a glazed product but has been painted. We are going to replace it and have ordered a Celite toilet in the same style (where the tank is higher) and a matching sink (our sink is from the 70s).

Two sources where you can get cut edge subway tiles. One is http://www.subwaytile.com/ I just did my kitchen with this tile and was very happy. Caveat with SubwayTile is that they prefer to work with contractors/professionals instead of DIY home owners. Another source is http://www.restorationtile.com/subway.html They may be able to match what you have color wise.

One thing to watch out for is the thickness of the tile. I had samples from both sources and there was a difference in the thickness. Not a big deal for me but if you are trying to match it is something to look out for

Just as an FYI, here is the tile in my kitchen

We also went with the Subway tile brand but haven't installed it. We bought ours through a place called TileArt in Madison, WI. I think the price was $14.95/sq ft. for the white 3x6 and the black 1/2"x6" liner was $8/sq. ft. We are also adding in some small green squares in between the black liner, which we bought in Chicago at a different place. You can see the quick digital mockup of what our kitchen will (hopefully) look like when it's done here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/citizenshay/5093271790/in/set-72157625174702258/

Good luck!
