Post Converting back to Steam Heat
My bungalow was built in 1908. Was original coal...the oil...and now gas heat. Also at one point it looks like it was steam...then had heat registers...but now is hot water heat through the original steam radiators, plus a few more added in for good measure.

Has anyone converted a hot water system to Steam? There are several cold rooms in my home, and I think the primary reason is that they are under-radiatored for hot water. Steam however should work just fine.

Does any make a MODERN steam furnace? What other task might I be up against?

I would suggest checking out The Wall, the discussion area of Dan Holohan's Heating Help website:

Good luck and let us know what you find out.
