Mission oak desk/library table ca. 1905
Hello -- I live in Rhode Island have a very beautiful Mission style oak desk/library table with a center drawer with original hardware and two side shelves with a lyre-strut motif. It was made by the Wolverine Company in Michigan, ca. 1905. It's in the same condition as when I bought it (a water stain on the top, otherwise fine) and has not been refinished or messed with. The dimensions are 30 in. H x 43 in. W x 25 in. D.
I'm moving overseas soon and would like to sell it to someone who appreciates this type of fine woodworking (i.e., not Craigslist). I'm looking either for someone on this forum who might want to purchase it, or names of Arts & Crafts dealers in the New England area that I might contact. Thanks in advance for your help.
I also have for sale an unusual Victorian oak dresser -- quite oversized -- that was made not as domestic furniture but to hold the merchandise for sale in a drygoods shop (so the drawers are unusually deep and the piece quite interesting). This piece has been refinished (not by me). If anyone is interested in Victoriana, or large furniture, or knows again of a dealer that would be interested in this piece, please let me know.
Many thanks --
Melissa
