More bungalow pics.
Ok, I'll get into the act too. Here are some "before" pics of the 1930, 1 1/2 story bungalow that I will be closing on later this month. Exterior work will wait until spring, but I plan on restoring as much of the orignal wood floor as possible and repainting the interior in more period colors. It's already had the wiring, ductwork, and furnace updated, so my projects will be mainly appearance related. Any comments or suggestions are welcome!

Great house, love the French doors. It's amazing what a
couple of coats of white paint and new hardware can
do to make a new kitchen or bath look old! We painted
our dark '70s cabinets with an off-white marine enamel
and they look a million times better. Good luck and
have fun.

Re: More bungalow pics.
Your molding looks to an exact match to the molding in my house except mine got painted white (doh!). The french doors you have look to be a close match to mine including the door hardware. The PO removed the doors a stored them in the basement. I'm getting them reinstalled into the house after I remove the funky green paint...

Re: More bungalow pics.
Did you post pics of your place? I'd love to see them. You're lucky to still have the doors, even if you have to strip them. I don't know why so many people used to love sea foam or pea green.

Personally, I love the door hardware. All the doors in the house have them, with the execption of the exterior doors. I think there may have been a green paint on some of the wood in my place at one point too- there is still a bit of a green tint to the window casement in one of the bedrooms. And of course, under a couple of layers of paint in the foyer, is the required lime green paint for a house of this age.

I need to go crawling around in the attic to see if I can find anything like you did...
