- Okay - I hope this meets approval from purists ( as we consider ourselves) This is our new home - built in 2008 We drove the historic parts of Oklahoma City for months taking pictures and finding what we liked - drew up a floorplan - spent the money on the interior woodwork to go as "craftsman" as we could afford... it sits on 3 wooded acres in Arcadia OK - no crowds! I hope we have done justice to the great styles of the era. You all tell me what you think - We have dubbed it "California Craftsman" but I could be way off!

Re: "New" California Craftsman
California Craftsman, I don't know. I think of deep eves with exposed hips from the rafters. Regardless, I think you have done a fantastic job and collecting the essential elements of a craftsman / bungalow themed home. The columns and deep porch really set it off. You had quite a bit of latitude given your geographic local. It would have been very easy to mix in more prairie sytle elements and still been spot on.
I would be quite interested to see the floor plan. Any chance you can upload some sketches or blueprints?
